Last summer, a fresh water pump was installed, bringing clean water to the children's home. However, the hand pump is heavy and difficult for the younger children to use without assistance. Now that the children attend school off the property, those buildings are unused. There is currently no medical facility in the Otacho community. If there were enough funding, Nashon would renovate these buildings so they could be turned into a health center that would serve the entire community and fill a gap in healthcare services.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, five of the staff caring for the children passed away, causing a great strain on the operations of the children's home. Further, in the ensuing economic turmoil, donations began waning and skyrocketing inflation made basic needs almost unattainable. At times, staff have been forced to skip some meals for the children when they have run out of food. Donations will help to immediately alleviate the needs of the children.
